Modern English Classics takes old, public domain books and updates their language with AI, making them easier for everyone to read. While you may occasionally spot contextual inaccuracies in the text or other AI artifacts, rest assured that the majority of your reading experience will be great. To find books quickly, start with the “Search Books” page to look up authors or titles. You can also browse through all available books by clicking on the “Browse Books” link. If you want a surprise, click the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button on the home page to jump to a random book. On a computer, you can use Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F on a Mac) to open your browser’s search box, and if you’re on a phone, look for the “Find in Page” option in your browser menu to locate specific titles on the “Browse Books” page. Or you can just look through the list of books on the "Browse Books" page.

There is an automatic “invisible bookmark” feature that saves your place. So, whenever you close a tab on your phone or computer, the next time you open that same book, you’ll pick up exactly where you left off. We’ve also added a “Back to Top” button in the bottom-right corner that appears if you scroll up a little on your phone or desktop browser, so you can quickly jump back to the top of long pages. If you scroll down, this button disappears, keeping your view clutter-free.
